In October 2020 we featured in Vision 2025, where we explored the theme of adaptive resilience and the importance of building community in the festival industry. Drawing on themes and learning from ecological principles, this piece was a message of hope in a moment of darkness for the events sector.
Vision 2025 is a UK initiative inspiring events organisations and individuals to collectively move towards greener ways of operating and to communicate their efforts, inspiring their audiences to push for change!
In this blog we took the theory of the adaptive resilience cycle – exploitation, conservation, release and reorganisation – and applied it to the festival industry as a whole, to help to find purpose and a pathway to community and connection.
